Her love for the arts started in Paris more than 25 years ago, and it hasn't stopped since. There, Barbara took painting and drawing lessons at the Parsons School and classes with various Parisian painting masters.
Later she relocated back to Santa Cruz Bolivia, her hometown, to start a large production of paintings from 1998 - 2004 while exhibiting around the country and studying printmaking at NUR University. In 2004, she moved to Miami and worked at Frederic Snitzer Gallery. She graduated in 2012, with a double major in Graphic Design and Digital Media from the University of Florida. She obtained her Museum Studies Certificate at Florida International University (FIU) in 2015.
She assisted at the Ruth and Marvin Sackner Archive of Concrete and Visual Poetry from 2012 to 2016. In September 2015 she opened the ABC Silkscreen shop, where she helped creatives make their printed-related projects come alive.
She enrolled in the MFA in Visual Arts: Curatorial Practice at FIU and continues to work on her art practice, acrylic paintings on canvas and oil painting commissions while being a sales advisor and promoter for artists of the southern globe.

If my work inspired you, that makes me happy. Did it open doors for you to follow? Great.
But don’t forget to mention all the people that inspire you… and make it with your flair and expression, otherwise, it is just copying.
It took me and many other artists, years of hard work and thoughtfulness to arrive at creating that gesture that way of coloring and that idea.
Be respectful. Please cknowledge others who inspire you.
Being courteous doesn’t take away your courage and value.
